Summary
The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of The Kitchen Bistro Restaurants and maintaining a strong system of controls, including preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook.
Responsibilities

Directs the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.

Oversees accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meets with department heads, as needed, to keep informed and to offer financial direction.

Reviews and modifies, if necessary, our system of financial controls to ensure continued accuracy of all financial data, proper handling of funds at all levels and guarantees compliance with all regulatory standards.

Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggest methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.

Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized or eliminated.

Helps supervise investment of funds; works with banks and/or investment bankers to raise additional capital as required for expansion.

Responsible for helping to prepare board decks and maintaining professional relationships with The Kitchen Board of Directors.

Reviews and negotiates rates on credit card fees, maintenance and service contracts.

Completes pro forma income statements for potential new projects.

Hires and trains head finance and accounting personnel, as needed.
Qualifications
-
Master's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance preferred.

C.P.A. designation preferred.

Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.

7-10 years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
