Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a Physician Assistants and/or Advanced Practice Registered Nurses in the Dickinson. ND area.

Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As an advanced practice prescriber for ND Department of Health and Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
As a Behavioral health physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) with Team ND you will leverage the full scope of mental health and substance use treatment services. You will assess, diagnose, prescribe medications, and provide patient and family education. You will facilitate individualized patient centered treatment plans to match individuals with evidenced based treatment that best aligns with their goals. Patient treatment will range from individualized medication management services to working within a multidisciplinary team to serve individuals/families experiencing severe and persistent behavioral health disorders with associated significant functional impact. As a Team ND prescriber, you will provide in-person onsite and community outreach prescription management services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
To thrive in this position, Team ND prescribers must be committed to the behavioral health specialty and ensure maintenance of certification, licensure, and continuing medical education requirements are met. Care provided must be patient-centered, flexible, adaptable, trauma informed, evidence based and take into consideration solutions that maximize the individuals' opportunities for recovery.

Location
This position is located on site at the Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic in Dickinson, ND and will provide essential client services face to face and will also need to be able to travel to meet clients at the appropriate location of care.

Minimum Qualifications
Hold one of the following licenses at the time of hire:
- North Dakota board of nursing licensed advanced practice registered nurse (APRN)
- North Dakota board of medicine licensed physician assistant (PA)
Have behavioral health specialty certification including or equivalent to:
- Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - PMHNP
- Adult Psych-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - PMHNP
- Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist PHMCNS-BC
- Psychiatric Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ)
Have a minimum of two years of behavioral health specialty prescription management experience post-graduation from specialty training (mental health and substance use disorder prescription confidence).
Position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation. Alternative to requiring driver's license if there are other means to get around, for example public transportation is available.
