Early Childhood Section - Remote within Northeast region or Cass County, ND - Early Childhood Licensing Supervisor
Help ensure all children have greater access to those early childhood experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong health and well-being! ND Health & Human Services (HHS) is seeking an Early Childhood Services Licensing Supervisor for its Early Childhood Section.
As the Early Childhood Services Licensing Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of Licensing Specialists, licensing, certifying and registering childcare facilities as well assuring licensed childcare providers maintain compliance with early childhood services state laws and administrative rules. You will provide guidance and leadership to licensing specialists in your assigned area, review licensing studies to issue childcare licenses, and provide technical assistance to your team, childcare providers, parents, and other professionals working with early childhood service programs.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, elementary education, child development and family science, social work, or human development or at least 4 years of experience in early childhood or a related field.

About ND HHS' Early Childhood Section: This section will focus on building greater access to quality early childhood experiences so all children ages 0-5 have the opportunity to realize their potential.
By leveraging partnerships with public and private stakeholders, the section will build an integrated approach to providing quality early childhood experiences. The section will administer licensing and certification, maintain a workforce registry, provide quality assurance, facilitate Best in Class program funding, collaborate with family support stakeholders, and manage block grant plans.
Location: ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position will work from home within the Northeast region of ND and Cass County with a willingness to travel for team meetings and to service delivery sites as needed.
