Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Utica, New York. This position is for a Medical/Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit, offering an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment. The role requires night shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) with three shifts per week, guaranteeing 36 hours weekly. Candidates should be prepared for floating responsibilities as needed. Responsibilities include caring for adult patients with conditions such as stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, dialysis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and other general medical-surgical conditions. The unit is equipped with specialty equipment like IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing, including stroke stepdown care, and must have prior travel experience. Active New York RN licensure, a current AHA BLS certification, and NIHSS certification (can be obtained before the start) are required. Familiarity with EPIC EMR is expected.
