Position Summary
ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN to provide school-based nursing support for medically fragile and medically complex students in Albany, Georgia.
The LPN will support assigned students during the school day by providing nursing care in accordance with physician orders, student care plans, school district procedures, and applicable nursing standards. The position may involve working in a classroom, health room, bus, or other school setting depending on the student's medical needs.
Key Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN will be responsible for providing safe, professional, and reliable nursing support to assigned students. Duties may include:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders, Individualized Healthcare Plans, emergency care plans, and district procedures.
- Monitor students for changes in condition, symptoms, seizure activity, respiratory concerns, medication effects, or other health-related issues.
- Support medically necessary procedures within LPN scope of practice, which may include medication administration, tube feeding support, catheterization support, respiratory care assistance, oxygen support, seizure monitoring, and tracheostomy-related support.
- Document care accurately, including daily nursing logs, medication administration records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of student health and education records in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, district policies, and NDGCS requirements.
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents or guardians, clinical supervisors, physicians, and NDGCS management regarding student care needs.
- Follow infection-control practices, emergency protocols, and assignment-specific care procedures.
- Accompany students during school transportation when medically required.
- Report absences, schedule changes, incidents, or care concerns promptly to NDGCS and appropriate school contacts.
- Participate in required orientation, training, competency review, and student-specific procedure review before and during the assignment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in the State of Georgia.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Ability to perform assigned nursing tasks safely within LPN scope of practice.
- Ability to follow physician orders, student care plans, emergency plans, school district policies, and NDGCS procedures.
- Strong documentation, communication, confidentiality, reliability, and student-safety skills.
- Must successfully complete all required criminal background checks and school clearance requirements before placement.

Work Environment
This is a school-based nursing role. The LPN may be assigned to a classroom, health room, bus, or other school environment depending on the student's needs. Assignments may vary based on student care requirements, staffing needs, and school district direction.
