Job Title – Assembly Worker I
Department – Manufacturing
Reports to – Production Supervisor
Location – South Houston, TX (Aerolift)
Job Summary
Primary duty is assembly and hydrostatic testing of tubular oilfield components used in downhole oil well completions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Operation of hand tools and basic air tools
- Parts are generally heavy (excess of 200 lbs.’) and require the use of overhead crane
- Should be capable of reading scaled manufacturing drawings as well as capable of using dial calipers and analog OD/ID micrometers to verify dimensions of machined components
- Will be required to perform lot-batch management of raw materials and components as per assembly procedure
- Operate hydrostatic pressure test equipment to 4000 psi in the testing and qualification of finished components
- Operate hydraulic press in assembly centers
- Operate hydraulic torque/turn machine and be familiar with torque turn specifications as per API specifications
- Employees will be required to become forklift certified and operate a 3,500 lb. forklift
- Support and uphold HS&E policies and procedures of NCS and the customer
- Align individual goals with NCS corporate goals, while adhering to the NCS Promise
- Participate in Personal Development for Success (PDS)
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Team player and supportive of department
- Needs good vision, coordination and dexterity to deal with handling and manipulating materials and parts
- Must be able to focus on the task at hand with great attention to details
- High level of physical stamina and strength necessary for repetitive work and long periods of standing, bending, twisting and lifting

- Work environment: Safety sensitive
- Overtime required as needed, but not guaranteed
- Must have flexible schedule to work weekends and holidays required as needed due to customer needs etc.
- Criminal background check required for all positions
- Safety sensitive positions will require additional pre-employment testing
