This position ensures pools and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with company standards, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable health and safety requirements.
The role primarily focuses on pool maintenance and water quality management, with additional support for general hotel maintenance and repair needs as assigned.

How You'll Make an Impact
The Maintenance Assistant - Pool Operations is responsible for the routine maintenance, monitoring, cleanliness, and safe operation of swimming pools and related equipment across multiple hotel properties. This position ensures pools and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with company standards, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable health and safety requirements.
The role primarily focuses on pool maintenance and water quality management, with additional support for general hotel maintenance and repair needs as assigned.
- Perform routine pool maintenance across assigned hotel properties, including cleaning, vacuuming, brushing, skimming, and removal of debris.
- Monitor and maintain pool and spa water chemistry, including chlorine, pH, and other required water quality measurements.
- Test and document water quality in accordance with applicable regulations, company standards, and required schedules.
- Ensure all required life safety devices, signage, and first aid kits meet applicable regulations and company standards.
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, automated chemical monitoring systems, chemical feeders, and circulation systems.
- Assist with routine repairs and preventative maintenance throughout hotel properties, including basic plumbing, painting, minor carpentry, and equipment repairs.
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and document work performed.
- Assist with inspections of guest rooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and other hotel facilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous pool maintenance, facilities maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pool water chemistry, circulation systems, filtration equipment, and preventative maintenance preferred.
- Ability to learn and follow pool testing procedures, chemical handling requirements, and equipment operating instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required for travel between properties.
- Ability to work independently, manage a schedule across multiple locations, and prioritize maintenance needs.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- CPO certification is preferred but not required.
