Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist at NCFCU is responsible for supporting the Credit Union's marketing, communications, branding, and community outreach efforts. This position assists in the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns designed to promote products, services, financial education, member engagement, and community involvement. The Marketing Coordinator works closely with management and various departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand standards across all marketing channels.


Essential Duties & Responsibilites:

Marketing & Communications

  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, promotions, and member communication initiatives.
  • Create and distribute marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, newsletters, advertisements, and digital content.
  • Maintain the Credit Union's website content and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Draft and coordinate member communications, including emails, newsletters, announcements, and internal communications.
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with applicable regulations and Credit Union policies.


Social Media & Digital Marketing

  • Manage and maintain the Credit Union's social media platforms.
  • Create engaging content to increase brand awareness and member engagement.
  • Monitor social media activity and respond to comments or inquiries as appropriate.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with digital advertising campaigns and online marketing initiatives.


Community Outreach & Financial Education

  • Coordinate community events, sponsorships, financial education programs, and member appreciation activities.
  • Represent the Credit Union at community functions, networking events, and outreach opportunities.
  • Develop promotional materials and event marketing strategies.
  • Assist in building relationships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations.


Administrative Support

  • Maintain marketing calendars, project timelines, and campaign schedules.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and assist with obtaining quotes and managing marketing inventory.
  • Track marketing expenses and assist with budget monitoring.
  • Organize and maintain marketing files, photography, promotional items, and branded materials.
  • Assist with reporting and measuring marketing campaign effectiveness.


Brand Management

  • Ensure consistent use of the Credit Union's branding, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Review marketing materials for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Assist in the development of new marketing initiatives to enhance the Credit Union's visibility and reputation.


Position Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
  • One to three years of marketing, communications, customer service, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with social media management platforms and content creation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • Experience with website management and email marketing platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of financial institutions or Credit Union operations is a plus.
