North Carolina FC Youth (NCFC Youth) is a non-profit youth soccer organization home to more than 16,000 players (ages 2.5-19) and their families each year. Through full-service programming, NCFC Youth offers youth soccer for all levels of play – from Recreation and outreach programs up to the highest levels of elite competition. In addition, NCFC Youth hosts tournaments, camps, and other events to ensure the best player development opportunities. NCFC Youth’s on and off field operations are supported by more than 1,700 personnel including full-time staff, seasonal coaches, and volunteer coaches.

The Position: NCFC Youth hosts camps for players ages 4-16 during traditional school breaks (spring and summer). The ideal camp counselor has previous playing experience (club, college, professional) and experience with young children (coaching, camps, clinics, etc).

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old and must enjoy teaching young children.
- Must be energetic, patient, responsible, and reliable.
- Must be able to plan, lead and implement soccer activities and fun games in a safe and inclusive environment.
- Must be able to perform a variety of tasks outdoors in various climates.
- Must be able to enforce health and safety guidelines and communicate any concerns to camp site coordinator and/or director.
- Must be open to feedback, willing to learn, and able to work closely with other camp counselors and medical staff.
- Must complete all new hire paperwork, in addition to a SafeSport certification and background check, prior to the hiring deadline.
The camp week runs Monday-Friday with full day options (8am-4:15pm) and half day options (8am-12:15pm) for camp counselors. The ideal camp counselor is committed to working Monday-Friday. Pay is hourly and varies based on experience. Indicating your availability does not guarantee you will work the requested weeks.

Please note: If we become fully staffed before your paperwork is completed, you will be placed on a waitlist. Individuals on the waitlist will only be added to the schedule if openings become available due to changes in staff availability.
