This coveted and highly sought-after role will help lead key statewide efforts including:
- Signal Maintenance and Modernization Program
- Signal Modernization Project
- Asset management
- Revamping the Schedule C & D reimbursable agreement programs
- Developing signal maintenance SOPs
- Building out the statewide signal training program
- Helping make the Statewide ITS Communications Plan a reality
- Middle Mile Broadband and Commercial Fiber Partnership Programs
- Administrator of the Statewide Signal System
- Help guide the Department’s Connected and Autonomous Vehicle preparedness
- New things that haven’t come up yet – oh, the possibilities!
The role has the privilege of working with, and helping manage, a fantastic team of hardworking, capable, and competent engineers and technicians. The role also reports to yours truly, which mostly means sitting through my occasional overcomplicated explanations and questionable attempts at humor.
