Program Coordinator – Rural Health Hub
Location: Enfield, NC (Halifax County)
Position Type: Full-Time (On-site with local travel)
Salary Range: $40,000 – $45,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator supports the Rural Health Hub’s mission to strengthen health, education, and community engagement efforts across rural North Carolina. This role is located in Enfied, NC and will ensure smooth coordination of programs, communication among partners, and timely delivery of project activities. The Coordinator will work closely with leadership, community organizations, and academic collaborators to advance ongoing health and wellness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate meetings, events, and workshops in collaboration with university, health, and community partners.
- Maintain project calendars, track milestones, and prepare brief progress summaries and reports.
- Support communications and outreach, including community engagement events, digital content, and logistics.
- Assist in managing program documentation, participant data, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor budgets and procurement requests under supervision of the site director or principal investigator.
- Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, service providers, and residents to support project implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, business, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in project or program coordination (nonprofit, academic, or public sector preferred).
- Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse community settings.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
- Must be able to work at Enfield, NC location.

- Experience with community-based initiatives or health promotion programs.
- Comfort engaging with residents, schools, and local organizations in rural environments.
