Description
NCCER has an exciting opportunity in the Digital Learning department for someone who is passionate about learning and the construction industry. The successful candidate will bring strong administrative, project management assistance, and content management capabilities to the digital learning team along with comfort in working in Learning Management Systems.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Utilize project-based tools, like Smartsheet and Jira, to document project workflow and track and report on progress of projects.
- Support course builds in our Learning Management System and/or SCORM Cloud, including building courses across multiple stages to incorporate feedback (alpha, beta, gold), testing these course builds (or those of teammates), and addressing any issues identified by customers or internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Support Project Managers with project related tasks, such as creating Jira stories that support course builds, tracking tasks, assisting with reviews of all course-related content or tasks, and support course implementation.
- Support work across stakeholder groups to ensure end-to-end completion of go-live requirements.
- Perform other administrative duties in support of the Digital Learning department, including data clean-up, internal documentation, taking and reporting out meeting notes, and other needs as they arise.
- Build and maintain rapport with project managers across the Digital Learning team and other departments. Ask questions and pursue learning opportunities to continue to grow, develop, and build fluency across team and organization.
- Keep up to date with latest eLearning trends to keep informed about eLearning formats, authoring processes and settings, emerging best practices, accessibility needs, etc. Use these to support project-related requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 1 - 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in eLearning or education
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-task, detail oriented, and deadline-driven environment
- Excited, passionate, proactive, and self-motivated with an enthusiasm for learning
Software Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook
- Experience with project management software, such as Smartsheet, Jira, or other tools
- Preferred: Experience with learning management systems such as Totara, Moodle, or Canvas
- Preferred: Experience or knowledge of eLearning content authoring tools, such as Storyline 360, Rise 360, etc.
