Duties
- Load and unload packages from trucks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners
- Organize packages within the warehouse to optimize space and facilitate quick retrieval
- Operate RF scanners to track inventory movements accurately during shipping and receiving processes
- Assist with shipping documentation, filing, and maintaining accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move packages of various sizes throughout the warehouse
- Conduct routine inspections of packages for damage or discrepancies before dispatching or storage
- Support warehouse distribution activities by ensuring packages are correctly sorted and prepared for delivery
Skills
- Experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently (certification preferred)
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks accurately under time constraints
- Proficiency with RF scanners for inventory tracking and data entry
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing, walking, or bending
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes to streamline package flow
- Attention to detail for filing, documentation, and quality control tasks
