Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Asphalt Paving Foreman to lead and oversee daily paving operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of asphalt paving processes, and the ability to manage crews, equipment, and job site safety efficiently. This role is critical to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate asphalt paving crew members and daily operations
- Plan, organize, and manage paving projects from start to finish
- Ensure proper setup, grading, and asphalt placement
- Monitor work quality to meet company and industry standards
- Operate and oversee the use of paving equipment as needed
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate with project managers, contractors, and team members
- Track materials, labor, and project progress
- Troubleshoot issues and adjust plans as necessary
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in asphalt paving, with at least 2 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of paving techniques, equipment, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (CDL preferred)
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with grading systems
- Equipment operation (paver, roller, skid steer, etc.)
- OSHA safety knowledge or certification
