Position Summary: The Dispatcher prepares daily schedules and dispatches Service Technicians to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.· Communicate with customers regarding service needs and dispatch Service Technicians accordingly.· Communicate by phone, email, and text message with Service Technicians regarding service needs and locations.· Dispatch routes to Service Technicians daily.· Dispatch Service Technicians based on call priority.· Log customer service requests into ADA system.· Obtain new customer information to set-up new accounts.· Log Service Technician’s work orders in excel.· Maintain daily scheduling and geographical routing of service calls for Service Technicians in Northern California and Nevada areas.· Enter handwritten invoices into ADA system.· Enter daily service work orders into ADA system within established deadlines.· Coordinate weekly parts run with Business Operations Support and Service Technicians.· Work with department staff to obtain equipment quotes and provide quotes to customers.· Complete data entry as directed by Dispatch Lead.· Generalo Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.o All other duties as assigned.o Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.o Regular and punctual attendance.· To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Amount of Travel Involved: None Competencies:· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and use of internet browsers.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal departments.· Basic knowledge of office equipment such as fax machine, copier/scanner, telephones and computer.· Ability to make effective decisions and problem solve by analyzing information and considering priorities.· Ability to prioritize, accurately execute multiple tasks, and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.· Must be a positive team player.· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.· Ability to handle stressful, busy situations.· Ability to perform routine work punctuated by busy periods.· Must be a quick learner and self-starter, able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.· Ability to conduct basic math calculations.· Excellent attention to detail and produces accurate work. Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.1-2 years’ experience in dispatching required.Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: English required.
