Responsibilities
Reporting to the Administrative Specialist II, this position is responsible for providing accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable/payable actions by performing a variety of functions involving the use of E-Procurement, Bank of America reconciling and the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS). Job responsibilities include; but are not limited to, the following:

If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Pender Correctional Institution is located in Burgaw, North Carolina and houses up to 768 male offenders in a medium custody facility.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Administrative Specialist II, this position is responsible for providing accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable/payable actions by performing a variety of functions involving the use of E-Procurement, Bank of America reconciling and the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS). Job responsibilities include; but are not limited to, the following:
- Tracking purchases, processing invoices and payments through spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
- Handling fiscal and financial operations of the respective work unit and involvement in the budget process.
- Analyzing data for accuracy.
- Troubleshooting problems with payments and accounts.
- Interpreting policy and procedure.
- Consulting with vendors and staff regarding accounts.
- Coordinating and/or making recommendations for procedural changes as needed.
- Serving as back-up to Offender Trust Fund and processing activities related to the Cashless Canteen.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Microsoft Word.
