THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a HR ASST (MIL) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2055000 and is part of the NC 449th TAB, National Guard (1-130 AB/ MD 2243-101).
Qualifications:
Military Grades: Enlisted (E7 and below); Warrant (WO1-CW2); or Officer (O1-O2)
Minimum Requirements: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws specific to personnel actions. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience performing personnel transactions. Experience working independently and setting priorities with little supervisory control.
Responsibilities:
As a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT, GS-0203-7, you will plan, organize, and administer the military personnel program for the organization; assist in preparation for and execute command level inspections of subordinate units; accomplish or review a variety of military personnel transactions and forward actions to a higher headquarters; implement the enlisted promotion system at the command level; control the organization's medical readiness programs; prepare and forward required documentation for promotion packets; provide guidance to organizational personnel and dependents concerning benefits and entitlements; provide administrative support to potential applicants and evaluate qualifications for officer/warrant officer appointment packets; review and/or assemble supporting documentation required at higher levels when processing actions such as involuntary order to active duty, non-judicial punishment, fraudulent enlistment, non-selection for retention, administrative discharges, and other administrative actions; monitor and review reports to identify trends and assist with management of personnel readiness; participate in unit Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP); perform administrative duties relating to military personnel involving the composition and distribution of correspondence, publications, reports, orders, etc.; provide personnel-specific information in developing plans for recruiting and retention; perform other duties as assigned.Salary : $52,693
