What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drexel Co-Op: Data Engineer position at NBME?
NBME is proud to partner with Drexel University and give students the opportunity to utilize the skills they have learned in the classroom and leverage them in an educational setting.
Responsible for the implementation and support of data warehouse and business intelligence solutions, including working with business to understand requirements and working with DW/BI team to translate them to actionable queries, reports and dashboards using development best practices and various analytical tools.
The position requires the candidate to:
• Build data pipeline to build datalake using data engineering best practices
• Access, report, analyze and interpret data from various data sources
• Apply analytical skills to problem-solving
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be motivated, resourceful, organized and attentive to detail
Recommended Qualifications:
• Knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence solutions, data modeling, data analysis.
• Completed coursework in Database Design and Implementation Management I, II, III.
• Experience using AWS glue, s3, Informatica, Microstrategy, Qlik, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, ETL, reporting, MS SQL Server, MS Excel, SAS/SPSS would be helpful.
