The Senior Finance Analyst will support the Finance Department by preparing financial reports for budgeting and forecasting. This position will be involved in business expansion, transition and Joint Venture projects. The role will field an increased volume of information requests from both the business and corporate areas. This includes assuring accuracy of reports, variance analysis, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate under the direct guidance of the Finance Manager, providing proactive support across the full planning cycle—including annual budgeting, Long Range Plan (LRP), quarterly forecasts, and key metric analysis—while synthesizing insights for high‑level Programming leadership presentations.
  • Safeguard the integrity of all PCR and languaging data, while enhancing financial models for the Content & Acquisitions team by developing streamlined, user‑friendly formats that improve forecasting, budgeting, and reporting accuracy.
  • Deliver clear, meaningful monthly and quarterly analyses of balance sheet and P&L variances and prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages for management and two joint‑venture partners.
  • Complete all corporate reporting templates and adhere to required analysis processes.
  • Conduct standard and ad‑hoc financial analyses to support Programming finance initiatives and the Finance Manager’s decision‑making needs.
  • Assist in preparing polished PowerPoint presentations for LRP submissions, budget reviews, and quarterly performance updates.
  • Proactively identify business risks and opportunities, incorporating these insights into monthly forecasts to drive more informed financial planning.
  • Develop insightful dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) that translate complex data into actionable business intelligence.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with the Content & Acquisitions and Media Operations teams, offering technical expertise, robust data support, and a solid understanding of business drivers throughout all planning cycles.
  • Collaborate closely with the HQ Finance team to optimize and automate Programming forecasting processes through enhanced use of financial systems.
  • Provide financial modeling support that informs strategic programming acquisition decisions, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial priorities and long‑term objectives.
  • Champion continuous improvement by streamlining planning processes, strengthening reporting tools, and enhancing system efficiencies within the Programming finance function.
  • Support management with special projects and ad‑hoc analytical requests as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Solid working knowledge of financial and reporting systems, including SAP, AOE, BPC, SNAP, and Tableau.
  • Hands-on experience executing bottom‑up forecasting with precision and insight.
  • Exceptional organizational and time‑management abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple deliverables, meeting tight deadlines, and thriving under pressure.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated financial and operational concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and BPC preferred, with the ability to navigate financial systems efficiently.
  • Quick learner with the capacity to absorb new concepts rapidly and solve problems with a high degree of independence and sound judgment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships and effective collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Proven team player who thrives in a cross‑functional environment and willingly steps into projects as needed to support departmental objectives.
