- Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and manage news-of-the-day and breaking news content
- Assign stories to writers, advertise stories and review for editorial accuracy
- Collaborate with assignment desk and regional producers
- Respond quickly to breaking news
- Provide quality customer services to NBC News Group, affiliates and clients
- Willing to work weekends, nights, holidays, and various schedules
- Available to be on-call for breaking news
- At least 3 years of experience as a local or network news producer/writer
- Strong editorial judgment, news writing, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
