Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging, anatomy, and various diagnostic techniques. The CT Technologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic evaluations.
Duties
- Perform CT scans, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately position patients and capture necessary images.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations in various settings such as urgent care, emergency medicine, and level I or II trauma centers.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience in CT imaging is required; additional experience in nuclear medicine, emergency room settings, or diagnostic radiology is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and protocols for various procedures, including CT, X-ray, PET scans, DEXA scans, and mammography.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge and physiology related to medical imaging.
- Previous experience in a level I or II trauma center is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
