What We Offer

As the Relief Cook you will be responsible for preparing meals according to recipes, production sheets, and dietary guidelines. You will also support daily kitchen operations, including meal service, stocking, cleaning, and following sanitation and safety procedures. Experience in healthcare, senior living, or food service is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals following recipes and dietary guidelines
- Complete daily and next‑day prep work
- Take and record food and equipment temperatures
- Serve meals to residents, guests, and staff
- Follow residents’ individualized diet plans
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen and dining areas
- Restock unit kitchenettes
- Buss dining areas and assist with dishwashing
- Report concerns about residents’ meal intake
- Dispose of trash and linens according to facility procedures
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two to three years of experience in cooking in a long-term health care setting
- Food Handlers Certificate
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification, preferred
