Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, suspension, brakes, steering, and alignment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct diesel engine repairs and service GM vehicles with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and brake inspections to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Assist with auto body repairs when necessary and contribute to maintaining high standards of automotive service quality.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and vehicle safety features.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Experience
- Dealership experience or equivalent automotive service background preferred but not required; we welcome all levels of mechanic experience eager to learn.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, and powertrain components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and understanding of schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance machinery in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
