About Us
We are a new, locally owned Home Health agency serving patients in the St. Augustine area. Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality care to clients in the comfort of their homes. We’re looking for an organized, welcoming Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors, answer multi-line phones, and route calls or messages promptly.
- Communicate directly with physicians’ offices, referral sources, and other healthcare providers to obtain orders, verify documentation, and coordinate patient care.
- Coordinate patient intake: receive referrals, create charts, collect and verify insurance information, and ensure required documentation is complete.
- Schedule patient visits and staff assignments; communicate changes to clinicians and caregivers.
- Maintain patient records (electronic and paper) in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies.
- Support billing and insurance verification by preparing and forwarding documentation.
- Order office supplies, handle mail, and keep the front office organized and professional.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, clinicians, and vendors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or medical office training a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or home health office strongly preferred.
- Comfortable and professional when communicating with physicians’ offices and other medical providers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning scheduling/EMR software.
- Strong communication skills, professional phone etiquette, and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
- Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, daytime hours.
- Pay range: $18–$23/hour (commensurate with experience).
