Role Description
This is a part-time contract role most suitable for current BME undergrad or grad students, or those with biomedical engineering experience. Experience in medical devices or FDA is a huge plus. You will work through polymer & additive integrations and safety testing to help create a viable product for our FDA Q-sub submission. There are 3 stages to the development: prep (~1 week), production (~1-2 weeks), and testing(~2-4 weeks).
Qualifications
- Experience with equipment maintenance & ability to maintain high operational standards.
- Great transcription skills, ability to create and conduct an experiment.
- Knowledge or experience with regulatory and safety standards for medical devices and equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and address technical issues effectively.
- Experience in medical devices is a plus
Compensation & Logistics
- This is a paid, part-time contract role. Pay comes in the form of 2 stipend payments.
- Our preference is for applicants from University of Washington / Seattle - we are planning to collaborate with CoMotion labs for testing. However, any university affiliation is welcome and we will find a lab that works for you if you are not based in Seattle.
- 6 weeks total, starting in May / June.
