Job Description:
Our executive search partner is pleased to assist a leading, physician-led anesthesiology group in Wilmington, NC, in hiring a Full-Time Anesthesiologist to join their collaborative and respected team. This is a partner-track role offering clinical autonomy, strong work-life balance, and a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.
About the Group:
- Long-standing, physician-owned private group with a stellar regional reputation
- Provides anesthesiology services across a large medical center and a plastic surgery center
- Collaborative team of full-time anesthesiologists and a dozen CRNAs
- Majority of cases are routine, general surgery, ortho, plastics, OB/GYN, ENT, and urology
- No cardiac, neuro, trauma, or complex vascular cases
Schedule & Workload:
3-week rotation:
- 2 weeks at a medical center
- 1 week at a plastic surgery center
- Followed by 1 full week off
- 13 weeks PTO annually
- Evenly shared first-call responsibilities
- CRNAs handle most daytime cases; MDs cover evenings and complex cases
- 10% of cases are solo (mainly nights)
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- NC License required (pending license considered)
- Experience in hospital or ASC setting preferred
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
