SEASONAL RIMPAC FOOD SERVICE WORKER (CAFETERIA ATTENDANT)

Job Summary: Performs various duties to facilitate food preparation food service and maintain cooking and serving equipment and areas in clean and orderly condition. Duties and Responsibilities: Sets up serving counters by sorting and stacking such items as dishes and glasses and arranging silverware arranges salads desserts cold beverages etc. as instructed stocks condiment stands self-service milk and ice cream cabinets and hot and cold drink dispensers. - Removes soiled dishes from tables and carries to kitchen either by tray or hand cart scrapes dishes washes sterilizes and dries flatware glassware dishes and cooking utensils by hand or by machine. - Washes cuts scrapes chops dices and peels raw fruits and vegetables for cooking. - Cleans scrubs wipes and or washes tables counters and other service equipment such as work tables and refrigerators sweeps and mop floors. - Adheres to Navy Exchange Customer Service standards by maintaining a neat clean appearance and wearing appropriate uniform name tag as required. Exercises tact good manners and courtesy when serving and assisting customers suggests substitutes when items are not available and informs customers of specials. Provides service in a prompt and friendly manner ensuring that the food items are presented in an attractive and appetizing way. Furnishes each customer with a register receipt and thanks the customer for their patronage. - Works under the general supervision of a designated supervisor. Work is performed accordance with prescribed procedures and instructions and is reviewed by observation for proper performance and compliance with instructions. PHYSICAL EFFORT Associate frequently lifts or moves carts of dirty dishes weighing up to 30 pounds occasionally up to 45 pounds is required to constantly stand and walk in accomplishing work. WORKING CONDITIONS Incumbent works in areas which are uncomfortably warm damp and noisy floors may be wet and slippery. Is subject to minor cuts bruises and burns. - Performs other related duties as assigned

No experience is required High School graduate or equivalent is preferred. Physical requirements Required to frequently lift or move carts of dirty dishes weighing up to 30 pounds occasionally up to 45 pounds is required to constantly stand and walk to accomplish work.
