So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?
- Conducts preventative maintenance and takes periodic inventory of maintenance stock and equipment.
- Performs general carpentry, painting & plumbing tasks involved in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings or equipment.
- Performs routine maintenance on washers, dryers and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).
- Follows all local safety regulations. Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions.
- Perform tasks involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures and equipment.
- NEXCOM Hospitality Group (NHG) guest rooms, etc. Typical assignments include painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs etc.
- Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
- Is required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring or uncomfortable positions.
- Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 45 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted.
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal & background check.
- Be available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
