Project Manager - Technology Transition & Operational Experiments

Job Summary

The Project Manager, designs, plans, and runs operational experiments of our PNT as a Service (PNTaaS) commercial technology to demonstrate product capability to commercial and defense customers. You will prepare statements of work, project budgets and milestones, submit proposals and monitor project execution, preparing reports on results and plans for operational transitions. This role requires regular travel to military bases and field test sites to oversee live operational experiments and requires an individual capable of working with our technical team and participating on-site with trials of the PNTaaS technology.

Responsibilities will include:

· Technology Transition: Lead the deployment, scaling, and integration of PNTaaS Software Defined Radios and PNT services into military programs of record or field operations.

· On-site Execution: Travel frequently to military test sites, installations, and ranges to launch, monitor, and safely conclude classified operational field experiments.

· Planning & Scheduling: Develop complex project schedules, critical paths, and resource loading models using MS Project to track test milestones.

· Budgeting: Build and manage project budgets-including travel, field testing logistics, and technical and support resource allocation – and track spending against defense procurement guidelines.

· Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary on-site liaison between commercial engineering teams, industry partners, senior military leadership, and tactical end-users within classified environments.

· Compliance & Risk: Ensure all field experiments adhere to safely, security protocols, OPSEC, and defense compliance standards while managing real-time operational risks.

Job Qualifications

· U.S. citizenship is a must

· Active Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance (SCI eligibility preferred)

· Advanced proficiency with MS Project or equivalententerprise scheduling software.

· 3 years of project management experience, specifically managing technology transition, prototyping, or field exercises for defense or military applications.

· Willingness to travel up to 40-50% (or as required) to remote test sites, military bases, and secure facilities.

· Proven track record of managing project budgets and handling complex technical and logistical initiatives.

· Experience designing and executing tests, pilots, or operational experiments in a live or simulated tactical environment.

· Deep understanding of military operations, capability integration activities, acquisition pathways, and technology readiness levels (TRL).

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related field (PMP or defense acquisition certifications are a plus).

Salary: $113,000.00 - $177,000.00 per year dependent on experience, skill level, and extent to which the candidate meets desired requirements
