As a Middle School Special Education Teacher, your days will include:
- Co-teach 7th grade ELA and Math alongside general education teachers in an inclusive classroom setting.
- Support a caseload of 10 students: 5 students in ELA and 5 students in Math.
- Provide specially designed instruction and accommodations aligned with students’ IEP goals, primarily in reading and/or math.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff to support student progress.
- Monitor student performance, maintain required documentation, and contribute to IEP development and implementation.
- Promote student access and participation alongside general education peers throughout academics and the school day.
Job Details
- Position: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
- Hours: 32.75 hours per week (Monday - Friday), approximately 8:00 AM - 3:15 PM; includes a 30-minute lunch break and prep/planning time
- Caseload: 7th grade co-taught ELA and Math; 10 students total (5 ELA, 5 Math)
Successful Candidates Possess
- Active LBS1 teaching license/certification (required)
- Experience supporting students with reading and/or math IEP goals in inclusive or co-taught settings (preferred)
- Strong collaboration, communication, and IEP implementation skills
- The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
