About the Opportunity Join a compassionate and collaborative team providing essential Primary Care services to patients in a psychiatric inpatient setting. This unique role offers flexibility and the opportunity to deliver high-quality care to individuals who otherwise may not have access to primary care. What You’ll Do: • Deliver in-person Primary Care services in a freestanding inpatient psychiatric hospital during business hours. • Manage an average of 1-2 new admissions per day and 3-4 acute visits daily. • Conduct basic procedures such as suture removal and wound care. • Collaborate with an established team of psychiatric providers, social workers, nurses, and mental health specialists. The Ideal Candidate We’re looking for a compassionate and adaptable Primary Care Provider who thrives in a dynamic environment. Position Summary The Primary Care PA-C provides routine medical care in a 70-bed involuntary inpatient psychiatric facility. This role involves conducting complete medical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and managing medical treatment for routine problems, with consultation from the supervising physician as needed. Responsibilities Perform routine H&Ps for every new admission. Assess and manage medical conditions, including acute complaints and chronic illnesses. Complete Treatment Plan goals for medical care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Consult with psychiatric providers regarding co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions. Prescribe, monitor, and evaluate results of prescribed medications. Order and interpret laboratory tests as required for medical care. Provide substance withdrawal management as needed. Accurately and appropriately document medical care provided. Implement antimicrobial stewardship practices. Perform other duties as assigned. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $136,984.00 - $185,795.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
