Position Overview
We are seeking a Solution Architect with expertise in Microsoft SharePoint Server and Project Server installations within a secure federal environment. The consultant will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and patching of SharePoint and Project Server environments on preconfigured Windows Servers, ensuring compliance with federal security standards (DISA STIGs).
This role involves working onsite to gather requirements, build a SharePoint farm, and perform a basic Project Server deployment—without custom development or extended remediation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Install and configure Microsoft SharePoint Server on existing Windows Server environments.
Perform basic installation of Microsoft Project Server (2016 minimum; 2019 preferred).
Apply patches and the latest DISA STIGs to ensure compliance with federal security requirements.
Collaborate with customer teams to gather SharePoint farm requirements and size infrastructure appropriately.
Deliver documentation outlining installation, configuration, and compliance steps.
Required Technical Skills
Microsoft SharePoint Server (installation, configuration, patching)
Microsoft Project Server (installation and configuration)
Windows Server Administration
Familiarity with DISA STIG compliance and security best practices
Knowledge of Azure and Microsoft ecosystem tools (preferred)
Qualifications
Proven experience deploying and configuring Microsoft SharePoint and Project Server in enterprise or federal environments.
Strong understanding of system hardening and compliance frameworks (DISA STIGs).
Ability to work onsite at Eglin AFB, FL for the project duration.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
