Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled RN - Unit Manager to oversee patient care plans and ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care within our healthcare facility. In this leadership role, you will supervise nursing staff, conduct patient assessments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate patient care plans to ensure the highest standards of nursing care.
- Supervise and mentor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs within the unit.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team on creating and updating treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations at all times.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to any emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enforce infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Manage staffing schedules and ensure proper nurse coverage at all times.
- Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and oversee professional development.
- Act as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and families, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in Pennsylvania (PA) or eligibility for multi-state compact licensure.
- Experience: At least 2 years of related experience in a nursing role, preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage staff performance and nurse scheduling effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within the healthcare team.
