Compensation: $22.39 – $31.34/hr (based on experience)

Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Medical Technician to perform high- and moderate-complexity clinical laboratory testing across multiple disciplines. This role requires strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and the ability to support a fast-paced acute care environment while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is comfortable working autonomously, covering all assigned lab areas, and consistently delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results that support patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high- and moderate-complexity laboratory testing in multiple areas, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of diagnostic results to support patient care decisions.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and laboratory protocols.

• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.

• Manage specimen processing, labeling, and documentation with strict attention to detail.

• Assist in training and mentoring new laboratory staff as needed.

• Collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams to resolve testing issues and improve workflow efficiency.

• Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Cover all assigned lab areas during shifts and provide coverage during weekends and evenings.

Qualifications:

• Nationally recognized certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP preferred).

• Florida State Medical Technologist licensure required; competency in at least three laboratory sections required.

• Associate degree in Medical Technology with formal MT training required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technician in a hospital laboratory preferred.

• Blood Bank experience strongly preferred.

• Strong critical thinking, operational judgment, and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Demonstrated teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
