Job Title: EEG Technician – Diagnostic Imaging

Location: Ithaca, NY

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Hours: 8 hours/day | 5 shifts/week

Pay Rate: $40–$50/hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced EEG Technician for a 13-week contract to perform EEG procedures and support diagnostic testing in a clinical setting. Preference will be given to Registered EEG Technologists (R.EEGT), though experienced unregistered technicians will also be considered.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized EEG studies in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare patients for EEG procedures, explaining the test and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Apply electrodes accurately and monitor recordings for quality and abnormalities.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot EEG equipment and related diagnostic tools.
• Identify and document technical issues or significant findings during testing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with departmental standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff regarding test results and patient status.
• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled and respond to urgent testing needs.

Qualifications:

• R.EEGT preferred.
• Unregistered EEG Technologist with relevant experience considered.
• Nerve Conduction Studies experience preferred.
• Ability to work a consistent schedule for the duration of the contract.
