Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School Based
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 42 Weeks (Full School Year)
Shift: Day Shift | 5x7.5s
Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
We are seeking a highly skilled and communicative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based assignment in Houston, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for experienced SLPs as well as Clinical Fellows (CFYs) who are passionate about supporting students' communication and academic success in a collaborative educational environment.
Requirements:
Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist License or actively in the process of obtaining licensure.
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required.
Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and school staff.
Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are welcome to apply.
Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in middle and high school students.
Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) to provide therapy services and support deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to support student success.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and educational planning.
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Ensure compliance with school, state, and professional practice standards.
Support a positive and collaborative learning environment.
