Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – HTP Pre-Op/PACU
Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – HTP Pre-Op/PACU for a procedural services setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in pre-operative care, post-anesthesia recovery, critical care, and telemetry monitoring.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 40 Hours per Week
- No Weekends
- No Holidays
Requirements
- Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact License
- ASN required
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS (AHA) required
- PALS required
- Telemetry Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in:
- Critical Care
- Pre-Operative Nursing
- PACU/Recovery Room Nursing
- Strong Telemetry background required
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- 3 years of PACU experience preferred
- Interventional Radiology pre-op and recovery experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform admission assessments and pre-procedure patient evaluations.
- Prepare patients for procedures and coordinate care with physicians and procedural teams.
- Start and maintain IV access.
- Provide post-procedure and post-anesthesia recovery care.
- Monitor patient status, cardiac rhythms, and recovery progress.
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions as ordered.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with nursing and regulatory standards.
