A leading regional healthcare organization in western Alaska is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and community-based settings.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including pediatric through geriatric patients, while treating a broad range of conditions such as orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, and wound care cases. The role also includes travel to remote village communities, allowing clinicians to practice full-scope physical therapy while making a meaningful impact in underserved populations.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
- Provide physical therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and community settings
- Treat patients across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Manage orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, mobility, and wound care conditions
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation programs
- Travel to remote village communities to provide direct patient care
- Adapt treatment plans based on available resources and community needs
- Participate in outreach initiatives and promote community wellness
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental audits
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and culturally diverse populations
- Serve as a professional representative of the rehabilitation department
Required QualificationsEducation & Licensure
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Alaska Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current BLS Certification
- Hospital, outpatient, or rehabilitation experience preferred
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
