Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Services Representative / Unit Clerk to provide administrative and clerical support in a healthcare setting. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth unit operations by managing patient records, coordinating communication across departments, and supporting clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties including answering phones, managing correspondence, and greeting patients and visitors
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in the EMR system
- Coordinate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other departments
- Schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures as required
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges by preparing necessary documentation
- Monitor unit supplies and place orders as needed
- Ensure all documentation complies with facility policies and confidentiality standards
- Provide administrative support to nursing and clinical staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare or administrative setting preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
