Job Title: Nurse Supervisor
Location: New York, NY
Contract Duration: 18 Weeks
Shift Details:
- Schedule: 5x8 Day Shifts
- Start Time: 7:30 AM
- End Time: 4:00 PM
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Occasional weekend and off-shift coverage as required by leadership structure
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership oversight for Labor & Delivery and Post Partum units. This role is responsible for driving clinical excellence, supporting nursing staff performance, and ensuring high standards of patient care. The position involves collaboration with nurse managers and participation in operational and quality improvement initiatives aligned with organizational care delivery and management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership oversight for Labor & Delivery and Post Partum units
- Monitor patient care quality and support staff performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with nurse managers on unit operations and corrective action planning
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking medication errors and counseling documentation
- Support implementation of patient care quality programs and operational improvements
- Participate in leadership coverage during weekends and off-shifts as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience required
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Valid NYSED Registered Professional Nurse license (Primary Source Verification required)
- Current BLS Certification required
