Position Title: Nurse Supervisor
Location: New York, NY 10037
Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks) – Extension or Permanent Opportunity Possible

Compensation:

• Local Rate: Up to $3,480 Weekly
• Travel Rate: Up to $4,131.20 Weekly (Including Stipend)
• Schedule: 40 hours/week (5 days, 8 hours/day)

Position Overview

The Nurse Supervisor provides leadership within the Behavioral Health department, ensuring high-quality patient care, effective nursing operations, and strong staff performance. This role focuses on clinical oversight, workflow improvement, and implementation of corrective actions to maintain compliance and care standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations and improve patient care quality
• Monitor and evaluate care delivery across units
• Collaborate with nurse managers on performance assessment
• Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action plans
• Develop systems for tracking medication errors and related interventions
• Support staff development and clinical competency adherence
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong background in behavioral or psychiatric nursing care
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN required)
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State
• NYSED License Verification
• Current AHA BLS Certification
