Compensation
- Pay Rate: $75 – $95/hour

Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Syracuse, New York is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong oncology background for a contract assignment. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with attending physicians to provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver high-quality patient-centered care in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with attending physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress accurately and timely within the medical record
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Utilize prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and physician collaboration
- Deliver patient care functions independently with minimal orientation and supervision
- Support oncology patient care management and treatment coordination
Qualifications
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License and registration required
- NP specialty certification consistent with area of practice required
- Possession of Medicare NP number or eligibility to apply required
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Current ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance required
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience required
- Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred
- Oncology experience heavily preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare environment
