Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: 14 Weeks Contract
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8.5 Hour Shifts
Hours: 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM | 42.5 Hours/Week
Possible Evening and Weekend On-Call Required
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a contract opportunity in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment performing nuclear medicine procedures and supporting high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
- Perform routine nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging studies
- Administer and monitor radiopharmaceutical procedures as required
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient imaging records and documentation
- Assist with patient registration and imaging workflow processes
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and patient protection standards
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Perform quality control procedures for imaging equipment
- Support training and workflow guidance for departmental staff as needed
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to concerns
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
- Follow departmental protocols and imaging safety guidelines
- Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
- Current NYS license/registration required
- ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required or board eligible
- Strong nuclear medicine imaging and radiation safety knowledge required
- Ability to work independently in acute care hospital setting required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Synapse PACS experience preferred
- Siemens EVOSPECT, Philips Forte Camera, NMIS Hotlab System experience preferred
