Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity at a large academic medical center. Candidates must have strong recent Med/Surg and Telemetry experience and be comfortable working with a diverse adult patient population in a high-acuity environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 18 months of combined permanent staff experience in the specialty required
- Previous travel experience accepted toward specialty experience requirements
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License required at time of submission
- BLS (AHA or equivalent) required
- ACLS required
- NIHSS required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EMR.
- Maintain compliance with patient safety and quality standards.
