Job Title: Market VP of Patient Safety
Location: Asheville, NC
Schedule: Full-time, day shift (Mon–Fri)
Compensation: $137,000 – $190,000 (based on experience) up to 17.5% bonus
Position Overview
The Market VP of Patient Safety provides strategic leadership for patient safety and risk management across multiple facilities. This role drives clinical excellence, reduces preventable harm, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters a culture of safety and continuous improvement in collaboration with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Safety & Risk Management
- Lead market-wide patient safety and risk initiatives
- Identify and mitigate clinical risks; oversee claims management
- Drive measurable reductions in patient harm
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards
- Support accreditation readiness and quality improvement initiatives
Leadership & Strategy
- Partner with senior leadership to advance safety and quality goals
- Lead and develop a team of 9 FTEs across multiple sites
Operations & Program Management
- Oversee annual patient safety programs and system-wide initiatives
- Promote safety culture, education, and cross-facility collaboration
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field (RN preferred)
- Active clinical licensure
- CPPS certification
- 4 years of leadership experience in patient safety, quality, or acute care
Preferred:
- Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MSN, or related)
- Experience in multi-site healthcare environments
