The Legacy of Hartsville is seeking a passionate Cook who will take charge of crafting delicious meals based on our carefully curated menus and standardized recipes. You'll play a vital role in adhering to dietary guidelines and upholding food safety standards. Your expertise in maintaining plating standards, monitoring food temperatures throughout preparation, service, and storage, as well as following FIFO and labeling practices will be key. Additionally, your knowledge of safely and efficiently operating kitchen equipment, along with your commitment to keeping the kitchen environment clean and organized, will ensure we meet all regulatory safety guidelines. The ideal candidate must possess strong culinary skills, knowledge of special dietary and therapeutic diets and special requirements including diabetic, low or no sodium, mechanical soft and puree diets.

- Previous cooking experience in a commercial, healthcare or senior living environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitations standards.
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- SERV Safe management certification is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40-50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a commercial kitchen environment.
