What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Safety Team Member position at Navigator Schools?
The role of a Campus Safety Team Member is to monitor, direct and supervise students at various times during the school day in order to ensure their health and safety while at school. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with peers and students, have a deep commitment to student safety, hold students and self to high expectations, and uphold Navigator school culture at all times.

Responsibilities
● Taking cones and signs Out/In
● Clean the lunch bins
● Put lunch bins in the gym after school starts
● Help clean up tables in the cafeteria
● Bring out/In equipment for your zone
● Give first-aid to students in need
● Help students work through problems that arise on the playground
● Cover dismissal zone
● Enforce school policies and playground rules
● Effectively maintain follow through on school policies & procedures
● Monitor students activities to ensure safety at all times
● Effectively communicate with students and staff
● Maintain a firm but patient and courteous attitude towards students
● Keep areas clean and safe
● Be aware of any unsafe or hazardous items, structures, and take appropriate action to correct hazards or relay them to appropriate staff
● Learn and follow emergency procedures
● Maintain responsibility of assigned zone area(s)
● Maintain visibility at all time to students
● Implement the constant use of radar/scanning
● Constant circulation of your zone(s) is required at all times, ensuring you are in motion, tracking student behaviors
● Ensure students are eating at the bench area or sitting onthe blacktop and not running around with food
● Maintain a positive and professional relationship with parents
● Any issues involving students or parents must be communicated to the VP of Ops & Culture
● Meet weekly with the Vice Principal of Ops. & Culture and SGI Supervisory Coach for coaching
