The ideal candidate will have experience performing audit and assurance procedures, preparing workpapers, and assisting with financial statement engagements for privately held companies.
Responsibilitie
- Assist in the planning and execution of audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Prepare audit workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with professional standards
- Perform testing of internal controls and substantive audit procedures
- Analyze financial data and identify potential issues or discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures
- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and supporting documentation
- Work collaboratively with engagement teams to meet deadlines and client expectations
- Stay current on accounting and auditing standards, including GAAP and GAAS
- Participate in client meetings and fieldwork as needed
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Approximately 2 years of public accounting audit experience
- Progress toward CPA certification preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS
- Experience preparing audit workpapers and performing audit procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experienc
- Experience working with privately held companies
- Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, real estate, professional services, or nonprofit clients
- Familiarity with CaseWare, CCH Engagement, or similar audit software
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
