You will serve as a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR in the Fuel Department of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is:
1) Opening and closing fuel valves in the proper sequence; 2) Recording valve and pump status on electronic central control board; 3) Recording gauge readings obtained at regular intervals during fuel transfer, receipt and issue operations; 4) Observing pressure gauges, measuring temperatures, and determining net quantities received or issued; 5) Converting fuel readings to net quantities using conversion tables; 6) Calculating line of safe fill of pumping operations; and 7) Operating a mobile crane at or near capacity of the mobile crane. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
