Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Handle and operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces.
• Use appropriate chemical agents safely to disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas following safety protocols.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks using proper manual handling techniques to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
• Maintain sanitation standards by replenishing supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms and common areas.
• Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and facility maintenance to prevent accidents.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall facility upkeep.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, custodial equipment operation, floor care including buffing and polishing.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely by following proper safety protocols and handling safety procedures diligently.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and safety compliance.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs or residential painting is a plus.

This is part time opportunity. Saturday and Sunday 8:00am sharp - 10:30am. may have some weekdays available as well.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
